Over the last two weekends, First Baptist Orlando filled over 3,000 boxes of food for families in need in Central Florida to help them through Spring Break. Generally, the children of these families receive breakfast and lunch at school, but when school is out for Spring Break they miss out on these much needed meals.

First Orlando worked with the local school districts to identify families in need. Many of these families live in motels or with neighbors. Second Harvest Food Bank partnered to supply the food at a greatly reduced cost. Countless volunteers worked to fill boxes of food. And many more volunteers took the boxes out to the families.

Over 3,000 boxes were filled with groceries to feed four people two meals a day for five days which resulted in over 120,000 meals going out to local families in need.
